Аннотация
The purpose of this essay is to find out where the actual harbour was placed during Viking Age - Early Middle Ages. The essay is based mainly on results from practical work like phosphate mapping, field mapping and field survey. The conclusion drawn in the essay is that the settlement has been placed near the harbour, and continuously moved towards the north part of the area, depending on the changes of the shoreline as a result of the land upraise.
